I can imagine a great variety of circumstances in which this would be true, assuming you are referring to one or many of those thousands of possible scenarios I can not assure you that everyone will see that they are being cowardly.
you are obviously broad of vision, but some….some are not…not at all, or simply in error.
so
you need observable, repeatable results to make such a statement and have it be true. Even situationally.

I think this is better. I have been testing your original theory to be sure and your present revision seems more analog to the results.
It might even be the case that only a limited few posses the characteristic *wholeness of understanding* necessary to knowingly practicing cowardice through the vehicle of “Irony”. However, that doesn’t preclude the possibility that practicing Irony, might in itself be inherently cowardly…
